Vocations

Vocation

The source of the sisters’ vocation is the truth of the incomprehensible love of God toward man, ‘who so loved the world that he gave his only Son’ (jn 3:16), and the universal salvific will flowing from that love.” [Constitutions, Art. 2]

Contemplative Convent

The cloistered part of the convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Świnice Warckie was opened on August 25, 2008, by the decision of the General Council of the Congregation. In this manner the concept of the cloistered community, about which Saint Faustina wrote in her Diary, began to develop and materialize.

The fundamental goal of the cloistered convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy is the realization of the Congregation’s charism through prayer, that is, imploring God’s mercy for the world.

Mercy in Prayer

The Congregation’s apostolate consists first of all in the witness of the consecrated life, which according to the foundresses’ intention is expressed by trust in the mercy of God, by prayer and penance and also by the ministry of deeds of mercy (Constitutions, Art. 77)

Prayer is the first and foremost duty of a consecrated person. It is to maintain the sisters in an ever deeper union with Christ, occupying the essential place and giving meaning to their entire life.(Constitutions, Art. 46)

Mercy in Word

We proclaim God's mercy to the world by:

  • Giving talks at conferences, on TV and the radio using the Mass Media;
  • Speaking in parishes, prisons and to various prayer groups;
  • Organizing retreats and Days of Recollection;
  • Welcoming pilgrimages at the Shrine in Cracow and in the Center of Divine Mercy Spirituality in Rome;
  • Organizing symposia on Divine Mercy;
  • Providing spiritual formation for the members of the "Faustinum" Association of Apostles of the Divine Mercy;
